Selective Pallet Rack
The most universal pallet racking system for direct access to every pallet position.
A lot of Shawnee warehouses are mid-size buildings shared by contractors, suppliers, and small manufacturers, where the storage problem is less about volume and more about variety. Long material, palletized stock, loose cartons, and equipment all compete for the same floor. Kansas City Pallet Rack sorts that out with warehouse racking designed around what you actually store, serving buildings near K-7, Shawnee Mission Parkway, and the Nieman Road industrial area. We produce a CAD layout with a pallet position count and an itemized quote, so you can weigh options instead of guessing.
We supply selective pallet racks, push back and drive-in systems, pallet flow, carton flow, and cantilever rack, plus wire decking and rack protection. Design and the layout drawing are free. Call (913) 453-3942 and we can usually tell you on the first call which system fits.
Mixed inventory is the norm in Shawnee buildings, and it is exactly where a single-system approach falls apart. Pipe and lumber do not belong on standard pallet racking, and cartons picked by hand do not belong on beams sized for full pallets.
We zone the building instead. Cantilever along one wall for long stock, selective bays for palletized goods, carton flow or shelving where picking is by the case, and bulk storage where depth beats access.
Smaller operations also cannot afford a week of downtime. Installation runs in phases and works around your schedule, and because we handle the whole project you are not coordinating between a supplier and a separate installer.

The process opens with a warehouse needs analysis by phone: pallet sizes and weights, longest and heaviest non-palletized items, forklift type, clear height, and how the operation flows from receiving to shipping.
You then get a CAD layout showing rows, aisle widths, beam elevations, and pallet position totals, plus an itemized quote broken out by frames, beams, wire decking, cantilever arms and columns, and rack protection.
Selective pallet rack usually forms the core of a Shawnee layout because it keeps every position reachable with one lift. Cantilever rack handles conduit, tube, lumber, and sheet goods on open arms. Where you buy in volume, a few push back or drive-in lanes pull that inventory out of the working aisles.
Once you approve the drawing, we order steel, deliver, and manage the installation, anchoring, plumbing, leveling, labeling, and capacity-tagging every bay. We come back for added rows, relocations, and replacement components whenever the operation changes.
Our team has designed and installed warehouse racking across the K-7 and Shawnee Mission Parkway corridor and the wider metro. Call and describe your building; you will get a straight answer, not a brochure.

Send us the basics and we will come back with a layout and a number. No cost, no obligation, and the drawing is yours either way.
Operations here frequently run a second building elsewhere in the metro. We handle both, with matching components so parts move between sites.
